10/4, 12:24 a.m.; Police arrested Kenneth R. Grotjohn III, 20, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated on Interstate 205 at Viewpoint and lodged him at Clackamas County Jail.
10/4, 1:55 a.m.; Police arrested Joni L. Clanton, 26, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated on I-205 at McLoughlin Boulevard and lodged her at the county jail.
10/5, 2:32 a.m.; Police arrested Sarah Chicharro, 21, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated at Borland and Prosperity Park Way and lodged her at the county jail.
BURGULARIES
10/1, 9:33 a.m.; An overnight burglary was reported at the River House restaurant, at 65 Dollar St. The burglar pried open a side door; it was unknown at the time what was stolen.
10/1, 11:16 a.m.; Police received a report of a burglary at a store at 1720 Willamette Falls Drive. Cash was allegedly taken from a register between 10 p.m. the night before and 8 a.m. that morning
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
10/1, 11:57 a.m.; Police assisted state authorities with a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 205 at the West Linn-Oregon City Bridge. No injuries were reported.
10/1, 2:54 p.m.; A 3-year-old boy was injured after being hit by a vehicle in the parking lot at Hammerle Park.
West Linn Police Sgt. Neil Hennelly said Keanu James Mease, who lives in Lake Oswego, was transported to OHSU Hospital in Portland. His mother later told police he was going to be fine.
The driver was shaken up but uninjured.
Witnesses said Don Eisele, 71, of West Linn was driving slower than 10 mph when the little boy darted into his path from between parked cars.
Eisele “did absolutely nothing wrong, and was actually driving extremely cautiously,” Hennelly said.
THEFTS
10/1, 10 a.m.; A woman reported theft from a vehicle in the 4100 block of Imperial Drive, where a purse was stolen sometime overnight.
10/1, 11:33 a.m.; A man reported theft from a vehicle in the 4300 block of Imperial Drive. Entry was through a smashed side window, and a GPS device and video camera were stolen.
10/1, 11:46 a.m.; A woman filed a report of theft from a vehicle in the 21400 block of Rosepark Court.
10/1, 4:14 p.m.; A person reported a cell phone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2800 block of Beacon Hill Drive.
10/2, 11:46 a.m.; Police received a report that a 52-year-old woman was in custody at Market of Choice. She was cited and released for shoplifting.
10/2, 1:17 p.m.; Police stood down before responding to a case of theft reported in the 22800 block of Oregon City Loop. A woman who called for help after three cats, cat food and other supplies went missing had called back to say she found her pets.
10/4, 2:25 p.m.; Police received a report that a girl was in custody for shoplifting at Market of Choice. She was cited for theft and released to her father.
10/4, 6:48 p.m.; Theft was reported at the New Life Church in Robinwood, where a sign was apparently taken in front of the church that day.
10/5, 9:43 a.m.; Theft was reported from a company van at Morrow’s Flowers. A window was also broken at the business.
10/5, 12:52 p.m.; A political sign was reported stolen in the 18300 block of Upper Midhill Drive.
10/5, 1:01 p.m.; Another political sign was reported stolen in the 18300 block of Upper Midhill Drive.
10/5, 4:48 p.m.; A woman reported her ex-husband had stolen her identification. After determining that the woman had asked the man to hold on to her license, police advised him to return it.
FRAUD
10/3, 10:47 a.m.; A woman reported possible fraud after receiving a call from someone saying she’d won $2.5 million, which she’d receive if she paid fees.
ASSAULTS
9/29, 11:11 a.m.; A person reported assault to police after an 11-year-old boy was hit with a belt.
9/29, 11:51 a.m.; A woman called police to say she’d been assaulted, alleging a man pushed and shoved her and took away the phone. Officers responded to an Arbor Drive residence and arrested Petru Posteuca, 47. He was lodged at Clackamas County Jail on charges of interfering with a 9-1-1 call and harassment.
10/4, 6:55 p.m.; Someone reported being assaulted by a neighbor at the Tanner Creek Park skate area. An officer later determined no one had committed a crime.
LIFE IN WEST LINN
9/29, 8:18 a.m.; Someone reported graffiti on the back of a building at 22340 Salamo Road.
9/30, 5:03 a.m.; Police responded to Parker and Salamo roads, where a motorcycle was on fire. The flames were extinguished, but officers could not locate the owner.
10/1, 9:35 a.m.; A man contacted police after a neighbor picked up a computer he had thrown away in a Dumpster at the Country Garden apartments. Police planned to follow up on the man’s concerns that the computer’s taker now has his personal information.
10/1, 5:11 p.m.; A woman reported a dog – possibly a shepherd or lab – attacked her dogs while running off-leash on Bittner Street. An officer cited the rampaging animal’s owner for having an at-large and dangerous dog.
10/2, 8:57 a.m.; A man reported catching a German shepherd running at large in the 5600 block of River Street. An officer responded, returning the dog to its rightful backyard, securing a broken gate and leaving an informational door hanger for the owner, who wasn’t home.
10/2, 5:09 p.m.; A person reported a reckless driver trying to run them off the street at 19500 Hidden Springs Road. Police reported they were out of position and advised other authorities.
10/2, 5:36 p.m.; A man reported seeing a coyote near 2678 Fifth Ave. that morning. He said he’d been seeing more of the wolf-like animals in recent mornings.
10/3, 7:32 a.m.; A man reported his fiancée hit him and verbally attacked him. An officer was advised. The man called again later asking for a civil standby.
10/3, 8:25 a.m.; Police received a report of criminal mischief after someone reported that an unauthorized person entered an office basement overnight and damaged a computer at 19200 Willamette Drive.
10/4, 11:09 a.m.; A woman reported a fallen tree was posing a hazard near the 2300 block of Tompkins Street. Police determined the tree, down at the end of a dead end, was not a hazard.
10/4, 6:24 p.m.; Police took an anonymous call about juveniles stirring up trouble on Exeter Street. The youths were apparently hatching plans that involved a volcano. A responding officer found the suspects with baking soda and soda pop at the street’s edge. They were told to move off the roadway and clean up their suspicious science experiment when finished.
10/4, 9:38 p.m.; A woman reported a shady occupied vehicle parked in the 3000 block of Roxbury Drive. An officer contacted the people sitting inside, who said they were just waiting for a friend.
10/4, 10:03 p.m.; A Hammerle Park neighbor reported hearing loud noises in the area, as if someone were tearing something down. An officer responded and found people taking down a tent from an event that day.
10/5, 1:12 p.m.; A woman reported her ex-husband’s vehicle was parked at her Horizon Drive residence as a sign of intimidation. After investigating, an officer found that the ex had let their son drive his car home.
10/5, 5:11 p.m.; Police seized a handgun, rifle and small amount of marijuana from Mitchell Dow Webb, 45, and Kenneth John Keenan, 43, at the Shari’s Restaurant on McLoughlin Boulevard in Oregon City.
