Resurrection Catholic Parish announced the start of its parish-wide Faith Formation Center capital campaign, “Living Our Faith…Serving Our Community,” with nearly one-third of the $5.5 million goal already pledged.
“Resurrection Catholic Parish faces an important opportunity for growth, generosity, renewed personal commitment and sacrifice for the ongoing well being of the parish,” said Bill Moisant, priest at the parish located on the corner of Stafford Road and Ek Road at exit 3 off I-205.
The parish announced that $1.7 million has been pledged to date.
The Faith Formation Center, designed by Portland-based Soderstrom Architects, will be a two-story, multi-use center directly east of the church sanctuary to be used to consolidate youth and adult classrooms, office and reception area, meeting rooms and an adoration chapel. Additional site improvements will include a new drain field and water system, upper parking and driveway reconfiguration and step modifications to the entry from the current north side parking. Groundbreaking and construction have not been scheduled.
“Our current buildings are no longer able to accommodate the growing number of people and activities. The Faith Formation Center will provide the resources and support we need for our ministries to flourish now and in the future,” Moisant said.
The parish currently serves more than 40 individual ministries and 350 school-aged youths.
