West Linn police are investigating the death of a 2009 West Linn High School graduate found dead in his bedroom Saturday afternoon.

Corey Randall Patterson, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene, said West Linn Police Sgt. Neil Hennelly, department spokesman.

The cause of death remained unclear early this week.

At about 2 p.m. Saturday, police responded to reports of an unresponsive male at a home on Miles Drive, in the Rosemont Summit neighborhood.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and other medical personnel also responded.

Patterson was last seen alive by his mother early that morning, at about 1 a.m., when he appeared fine, Hennelly said.

He said an investigation is ongoing as officers await results of toxicology tests, expected from the medical examiner’s office in four to six weeks.
