City tree lighting set for this weekend

The city of West Linn hosts the eighth annual Holiday Tree Lighting this weekend.

The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Central Village, on Hood Street in West Linn.

Performances by Radio Disney, the West Linn Community Chorus and the West Linn High School Jazz Quartet are on tap, along with sing-alongs, cookie decorating, pictures with Santa and other activities.

Many Central Village merchants will offer special deals during the event, sponsored by Central Village, Gramor Development, Tanner Spring Assisted Living and West Linn’s Taste of Tuesday farmers market.

Other supporters include the West Linn Old Time Fair Court, Tula Salon, Starbucks and Sachi Wellness.
