As part of his entry, Palmrose was required to submit a three-minute video of his tailgate. Teenage neighbor Reis Mahnic, 17, filmed the video for Palmrose.
“The next step in the contest is what I need help with,” said Palmrose, who works as a respiratory therapist for Kaiser Permanente. “Contestants advance based on votes received on the Web site. I sure could use some votes from the community.” Those receiving the most votes from the public in the next two weeks advance to the semi-finals.
